Why do people assume that pagans/wiccans don’t participate in charities?
I don’t get this. For instance, I dontated a few large boxes of canned food to help my Airmen Leadership School class raise over a ton of food for the local soup kitchen. Does the fact that I’m Wiccan negate my contribution?
We Wiccans/Pagans tend to do our charitable work so quietly because that is the way most of us go about living our spiritual lives that we are unnoticed by society at large. Most of us don’t meet people and greet them as ‘hi I’m so and so and I’m a Wiccan/pagan‘ so they don’t see the fact that we are active community members. Doing charitable work transcends religion and your being Wiccan/Pagan does not negate any contributions you make to society.
