how to do a wiccan ritual
How do I honour my recently deceased dog? She’s my best friend.?
I don’t follow any particular religion although would lean more towards Wicca if I had to choose. Definitely not Catholicism or anything like that, nothing against those of you who do believe though.
So, I can’t very well take a ritual from a religion I don’t believe in and the Wiccan rituals are not really for one person.
I know on some grief sites they say to light a candle on the fourth night and every Monday night thereafter but I don’t know how long to leave it lit, and I want to do something special because she’s my forever friend. Does anyone have any ideas?
That’s horrible! She’s my little lady and I’m having her cremated and then when I die I’ll be cremated too and mixed with her (although I’m only 18 so that won’t be for ages). I already have two candles for her plus another special one with her name on its way.
I would never throw her in the trash, that’s cruel! I love her forever. And no I’m not from a “poor country”.
I’m so sorry you have lost your dog – I know from experience how devastating that can be.
You could donate to an animal shelter as a way to honour her memory and share the love you have for her with other less fortunate pets.
As to rituals, do whatever feels right even if you want to borrow from another religion. Your dog, your grief, your way of mourning.
