How to Focus for the Wicca Beginner

As a wicca beginner, it is very important to realize that true answers lie within yourself.  You should see books, religious teachings and rituals are tools to help you realize certain dreams and aspirations in your life.

Do not become discouraged as a Wicca beginner.  There is an overwhelming amount of information available and charlatans that claim that they have all the answers.  Ignore all these and focus on what you want to achieve for yourself.

There are a few basic steps that a Wicca Beginner should follow when starting out in the wiccan world.  You have to clearly define what you want out of Wicca and you should also truly believe in magic.

Many people have the expectation that magic manifests itself with the waving of a wand but in reality, it is a process of believing, focusing, harnessing the power of the elements and finding a sense of unity or synergy between your energy and that of the universe.

The first, basic and arguably the most important step for a Wicca beginner is to realize that coincidences are not merely coincidences, it is the universe at work, steering us in a certain direction.

The first exercise a Wicca Beginner should focus on is to focus your mind on all the small details of your life.  Try to broaden your view by seeing things in the corner of your eye, listen to hear the smallest of noises and most important – listen to your thoughts.

When you, as a Wicca beginner, have achieved the state where you are able to see, hear and feel that which the mundane cannot, you will be ready to practice your magical spells.  As you go along this path you will find that you can achieve this state where you are still aware of your surroundings but you are not anchored to the physical.  You will be seeing the world around you with new and fresh eyes and you will instinctively know when you are in this state.

Many a Wicca Beginner experience some difficulty in acquiring this state of mind, therefore you should keep on practicing to go into this state at any given time.  This conscious exercise will require some real effort from your side in the beginning, but later on, it will be like… waving a magic wand.
